Having had a demonstration and more recently Move Administer on trial, David Todd of D. Todd Removals in Sudbury Suffolk has ordered a 4 user Move Administer system.
Installation together with 2 days training (the 2nd being ‘live’ day as data from their current system (Remstar) will be converted outside of office hours on day 1), is scheduled for early November.
D. Todd Removals joins an ever increasing trend of removers converting from Remstar to Move Administer.

For most moving companies IT systems are something of a mystery. In this article, Colin Wynn of Administer Software Ltd., who has spent 25 years working in the removals industry, gives some good advice on what companies should be looking for when making their choice.
Administer Software Limited provides products and services to the removals and storage industry. Its main product, Move Administer , first sold in 2005, is now successfully running in 39 companies and is continuing to grow rapidly.
Managing Director Colin Wynn and his team believe that removers should have the correct tools to be able to manage their businesses effectively and to be able to give their customers the service that they expect and deserve.
Colin explained that it was important for systems to be designed specifically for the removals and storage industry and to be flexible. This way they can be made to fit in with existing company systems, improve profits and make everyone’s job easier. “No two movers are the same,” he said, “so systems need to be tailored specifically to what they need irrespective of the size of the business.”
The company supplies two products which it calls Survey Administer and Move Administer. As the names suggest the former is primarily for collecting information on the customers’ premises while the latter is a fully integrated system to link all the operations of the business together. “It’s vitally important for both products to be able to link together to avoid the need for double entry of information and prevent mistakes caused by human error,” explained Colin.

The two London based offices of Clockwork Removals in SW19 and NW10 merged into one today. We undertook the daunting task of merging the data between the two locations during a Sunday.
The data for both offices is now at the NW10 location, which is running as a 20 user system and running 7 trading names!
Staff at the SW19 office log onto Move Administer at NW10 server using Microsoft’s Terminal Services.
After being highly recommended by Moves , Alexanders Removals & Storage in North West London have ordered a 3 user Move Administer system.
Installation and a day’s training is due to take place at the beginning of October, with a further day’s training booked for the end of the month.
It is hoped that Alexanders knowledge and experience of the Self Storage industry will assist in the ongoing development of Self Storage Administer, an additional module to Move Administer.
European Van Lines international of Staines in Middlesex, have ordered a 10 user Move Administer system, including the Shipping Administer module.
The experience and knowledge of Ian, Dawn and Lee has been instrumental in the design and development of the Shipping Administer module.
Installation has already taken place, with a training day set for the beginning of October, with further training booked for the end of October once fine tuning of stationery has been completed. Live day is November 1st.
Move Administer will also run Town & Country Removals, the local removal side of the business.
