Administer Software Limited are pleased to announce that we will be in attendance again at the forthcoming Movers & Storers Show, to be held in Hall 11 of Birmingham’s NEC on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th of February 2009.
The Movers & Storers Show is the only large-scale UK exhibition designed exclusively for people working in the removals and storage industry.
As well as the chance to meet a host of the very best industry suppliers, a series of additional features have been planned to help you make the most of your time at the show.

Plenty of fun and frolics were had at the recent BAR Annual Conference held in the delightful city of Edinburgh.
Over 20 exhibitors filled the exhibition hall at the Assembly Rooms on George Street, with Red Recruit offering a bottle of bubbly to the individual that drove the fastest lap in their F1 simulator! Our Managing Director, Colin Wynn, took the bottle of bubbly by setting the pace with a 1.16.2 on Saturday morning, however this was surpassed with a 1.15.9 during the final drive of the conference – which goes to show just how much time is spent on gaming consoles within the offices of Administer Software Limited!
We would just like to thank current and existing clients for calling by our stand, and to everyone that supplied us with copious amounts of beer back at The George Hotel. And a big thank you to Basil Fry & Co for sponsoring the Overseas Group Welcome Reception onboard the Royal Yacht Britannia!
Removals & Storage Magazine runs a monthly competition named ‘Do you know WHO this is?‘, where they show a twisted picture of a well known person within the Removals & Storage industry.
Well we’re pleased to announce that in May 2008’s issue the winner is none other than our Managing Director Colin Wynn, who correctly identified Greg Wildman from Basil Fry & Co in April 2008’s competition.
The prize of a company profile in a future issue of Removals & Storage is an excellent opportunity to provide more information not only on the company and the services it offers but also the personel involved too.
Following on from The Movers & Storers Show, Administer Software Limited are delighted to announce that we will be one of the exhibitors at the BAR Annual Conference.
This years BAR Annual Conference is held between 15th and 17th of May, and returns to the delightful city of Edinburgh.
The conference and exhibition will take place in The Assembly Rooms, a grand Georgian building just a two minute walk from the conference hotel, The George. Business sessions run throughout Friday and Saturday and Thursday evening kicks off with the Welcome Reception being hosted by the Overseas Group onboard the Royal Yacht Britannia. Friday evening is BAR Party Night, held at the exclusive Prestonfield Hotel. Saturday evening closes the conference with the BAR Gala Night at the world famous Balmoral Hotel, with the theme being ‘Tartan and Tiaras‘, with music provided by The Kommitments.
We look forward to seeing current, previous and future customers alike.

The first ever Movers & Storers Show took place on February 22nd & 23rd at the NEC, Birmingham, and looks to have been a huge success for exhibitors, attendees and show organisers!
This was the first time Administer Software had exhibited, so it was decided to exhibit with a bang! New leaflets were designed, together with an exhibition stand, in bright, but friendly, warm and inviting colours, oh and Cadbury Cream Eggs were handed out to all that stopped by.
Out stand was well attended, from potential to existing customers, and even customers from our time at Easi-Move, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that stopped by, it was great to meet with you all again as well as meeting many new faces.
We would particularly like to thank Keith and Charlotte of Animo for organising such an exhibition, all our existing clients as a few new ideas were passed on, fellow exhibitors Ra’Alloy where Stuart (AKA Mika) and Luke entertained our table at the Exhibitors Party on the Friday evening, together with the lovely people from HelpIAmMoving, Basil Fry Insurance where Greg and Pete (hope your nose gets better soon) kept Lynn and I entertained on the Thursday evening, and to clients of old, including our old boss who it was fantastic to have a night of old with. If we’ve missed anyone out then I apologise now. And if you didn’t attend, then shame on you!

For most moving companies IT systems are something of a mystery. In this article, Colin Wynn of Administer Software Ltd., who has spent 25 years working in the removals industry, gives some good advice on what companies should be looking for when making their choice.
Administer Software Limited provides products and services to the removals and storage industry. Its main product, Move Administer, first sold in 2005, is now successfully running in 39 companies and is continuing to grow rapidly.
Managing Director Colin Wynn and his team believe that removers should have the correct tools to be able to manage their businesses effectively and to be able to give their customers the service that they expect and deserve.
Colin explained that it was important for systems to be designed specifically for the removals and storage industry and to be flexible. This way they can be made to fit in with existing company systems, improve profits and make everyone’s job easier. “No two movers are the same,” he said, “so systems need to be tailored specifically to what they need irrespective of the size of the business.”
The company supplies two products which it calls Survey Administer and Move Administer. As the names suggest the former is primarily for collecting information on the customers’ premises while the latter is a fully integrated system to link all the operations of the business together. “It’s vitally important for both products to be able to link together to avoid the need for double entry of information and prevent mistakes caused by human error,” explained Colin.
The two London based offices of Clockwork Removals in SW19 and NW10 merged into one today. We undertook the daunting task of merging the data between the two locations during a Sunday.
The data for both offices is now at the NW10 location, which is running as a 20 user system and running 7 trading names!
Staff at the SW19 office log onto Move Administer at NW10 server using Microsoft’s Terminal Services.
